There’s something to be said about creating a quirky character that, at the same time, can be totally believable for the audience. It’s not an easy thing to balance: most writers get too far on the crazy spectrum or end up on the side of boring normalcy.
The Bardzo agency did a perfect job of captivating the viewer’s attention by the character alone, without turning him into Mr. Bean. Instead, you get to the end of the ad with the feeling you know someone just like him, lovable silliness and all.
